ICCN Intercity Intangible Cultural Cooperation Network is a UNESCO Accredited Organisation devoted to develop City to City collaboration for the preservation and development of Intangible Cultural Heritage. The ICCN seeks to create Cultural Harmony based on shared understanding developed through cooperation and information sharing across cities. This network is essential for fostering intercultural understanding and respect, which promotes sustainable development and increases cultural diversity around the world. Every alternate year ICCN General Assembly and Thematic Workshop are organised in different parts of the world. Previously the General Assemblies were hosted in various member countries including Spain, Italy, Republic of Korea,Iran, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Egypt. Participation of 60 International Delegates from several countries are expected and this will be a National and International recognition to the event as well as the hosting agencies. Folkland International Centre for Folklore and Culture is a non-profit, non governmental, cultural organisation accredited to provide advisory services to the Inter governmental committee for safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage under UNESCO established in 1989. Folkland has been a part of ICCN since 2011 and by 2020 the organisation became ICCN South Asian Regional Head Quarters.Folkland is the official host of the upcoming 09th General Assembly 2023 planned to be held at Kozhikode,Kerala,India from 10th to 14 November 2023. Being the first of its kind to be held in India, we are planning to conduct this General Assembly in a grand manner with International Cultural Festival, Seminar, Workshop, Exhibition etc.
